Anastasia’s run at the Mutua Madrid Open is over as she lost 6-4, 6-2 to in-form German Julia Goerges in the quarter-finals. The match lasted one hour and 25 minutes.

Goerges broke Nastia once in the opening set and used that edge to take it 6-4 in 50 minutes. In the second set, the 19-year-old was broken twice, in the first and fifth games, and created only one break point opportunity, which she failed to convert.
